Dr. Scott Pomerantz received his undergraduate degree from Brandeis University in 1982. He then attended the prestigious Emory University School of Medicine and received his medical degree in 1986. Dr. Pomerantz completed his residency training at the Albert Einstein School of Medicine, where he gained experience learning under some of the top minds at The Montefiore Medical Center. He was selected by the Chairman of the Department to serve as Chief Resident during his final year of residency.
Dr. Pomerantz entered private practice in Paramus, New Jersey in 1990, where he has been practicing for the past three decades. He has performed thousands of cataract surgeries and laser treatments for glaucoma. He is on the cutting edge of cataract surgery, glaucoma management, and macular degeneration diagnosis and treatment. Dr. Pomerantz was the first surgeon in Bergen County to perform cataract surgery using the new Catalys femto laser and has extensive experience with the advanced technology multi-focal and extended depth of focus intraocular lens implants.
Dr. Pomerantz is the founder of Metro Eye Care in Paramus, New Jersey, and is excited about Metro Eye Care’s new location in Franklin Lakes, New Jersey. He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons. For over 30 years, Dr. Pomerantz has been providing outstanding skill, quality eye care, integrity, and compassion to the Bergen County community.
